Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in southwestern Uganda, on the edge of the Great Rift Valley. Covering approximately 331 square kilometers, the park is renowned for its biodiverse rainforest, one of the oldest in Africa, which dates back over 25,000 years. Bwindi is most famous for its population of mountain gorillas, offering one of the best opportunities in the world for gorilla trekking.
